Renovated Red Cross Headquarters Dedicated

Ribbon Cutting Pictured: John Droneburg, Director of Maryland Emergency Management Agency, Jan Gardner, County Commissioner, Leah Crace, chapter executive director, Keith Roberson, Building Chairman and Michael Mock, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chesapeake Potomac Blood Region.

“ It’s a culmination of a dream” stated Keith Roberson, building chairman. A packed room of volunteers and other well-wishers gathered to celebrate the dedication of the 16,000 square foot building that includes two classrooms, a meeting room, disaster storage, office space for volunteers and staff and a historic center. Mr. Roberson helped raise more than $1.5 million toward the renovations. Since he was such an integral part of the new facility, the building was officially dedicated in his honor. The Frederick County Chapter has served the Frederick County community since 1917.
